On Monday we launched a new game client.  The most significant features on this are an enhanced friends system – making it easy to find your friends to play with – and the new “East Only” game type.

East only is our new fourplayer fast game where all players plays one round as the east wind. East Only is essentially a variation of the full game but it takes less time to play. To celebrate this even further there will be:

The World Series of Mahjong 2010 was announced this morning in Macau.  The third-annual WSOM will be held from August 19-22, 2010 at the prestigious The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel. WSOM continues to be the world’s largest mahjong tournament in terms of player participation and prize money.
